The Garden is located one mile from Edinburgh city centre. Grom here you can get spectacular views of the Edinburgh skyline. Many events, exhibits and activities are held here throughout the year better still, entry into the Garden is free. However there is an admission charge to the Glasshouse.

The Garden, which was established in the 1670’s, is home to over 6% of all known plants. Her you can find many unusual and beautiful plants. It is even acknowledged as one of the finest Botanical Gardens in the world.

The Glasshouse holds Britain’s tallest Palm House – the perfect haven for botanical wonders as it can boast 10 different climate zones. Why not go exploring and you might discover some of the world’s oldest plants in the Orchid and Cycad house.

You can even visit Edinburgh’s tropical rainforest in the Plants and People House, which has both banana and rubber trees. Other features include the Rock Gardens, which hold some rare alpine gems.
